Note : Since 2000 created digitally with offline good quality printing option (focus on print design and editing) ; it was necessary to evolve my own vision and visual language not as work for hire or based on client briefings.With the skills learned I can create well digitally often painterly akin to a blank canvas.

Dlela Lombard is a self-taught visionary digital artist and tao alchemist discovering and evolving her pioneering work in generative
photo-art and digital painting. With a scientific approach to her craft as non conformist photo editing, she transforms formless photo pixels into imaginative new forms, in which color and form have their own soul. Rooted in her background of black and white analogue photography, Lombard always sensed the camera lens as an extension of the spiritual eye, allowing her to make the invisible visible.In 2023, she further embraced surrealism through text automatism and AI picture generation, leading to new transformations that reflect her vision and style.

Especially in the beginning phase of generating pieces with AI seeing was as if shooting with a camera motor drive; the association was immediate because of its fastness from one picture to the next; because of photo-editing my own works without AI as a self chosen discipline in a non conformist way, for at least 2 decades it was gradually evolving and after some months on a daily basis realized it as a working tool.I simply had to find my 'thing' to be able to do it : digital transformation with AI.I had my apathy in the beginning however could overcome it through comparing it with a camera shooting.I can now also take those self created 'generative photo art' pieces (digital transformation without AI) further as my own foundation into generating new pieces from it through more simple prompts to an AI picture generator.Aligning with chance operation is not a flaw but a chance for surrealism which is the way AI is also working.The speed can be a challenge :)) The whole thing is Anti Art !

Discovering new shapes and forms in Photoshop based on manipulation of formless photo pixel content, a blurred outdoors; a non-compliant process by movement also via filters, an idea that popped up in my head like a light bulb before I heard of AI.I can now also take those meanwhile well edited imaginative forms further as my own foundation into generating new pieces from it through more simple prompts to an AI picture generator.It works quite well and interesting.

Photo Library Arcangel 'Book Cover Art' scouting own models outdoors with focus on crime related themes by own art direction.After
I left the library I took the self financed material further into the final photo-editing as a free body of work.This is how I could then develop a feel for it.The reason for this was a photo camera equipment not meeting the high tech standard - simply a fairly handsome semi professional Fuji bridge camera.I worked on RAW setting and converted into TIF. Simple does it.

In early years I was just a student of and influenced by my father who was a film director and screenwriter, an actor and rebel who learned in the US. Despite his many pitfalls in the family my parents 'managed' to raise awareness ,often unknowingly.
