About

Dlela Lombard Art

"Dlela Lombard is a visionary self-taught photo artist and Tao alchemist whose artistic digital journey has spanned over two decades. Her unique approach to the digital medium combines a scientific mindset with a deep understanding of artistic expression, allowing her to transform formless photo pixels of the natural world into imaginative, vibrant forms. In her hands, color and shape emerge with their own distinct essence, turning the act of creation into a profound exploration of the formless dimension. Having roots in black and white analogue photography, Lombard perceives the camera lens as an extension of her spiritual eye, enabling her to reveal the invisible aspects of reality. This perspective allows her to capture and convey deeper meanings through her work, making the unseen seen. In 2023, she expanded her artistic repertoire by embracing surrealism (chance operation) through techniques like text automatism and AI-assisted image generation. This evolution in her practice has led to innovative transformations that reflect her unique vision and style. By harnessing the capabilities of AI, her digital paintings now integrate individual digital brush strokes, blending imperfections with refinement to create visual narratives inviting viewers to explore new perspectives.

2015-2025

Discovering new shapes and forms in Photoshop based on manipulation of formless photo pixel content, a blurred outdoors; a non-compliant process by movement also via filters, an idea that popped up in my head like a light bulb not knowing anything about AI.I call them Ex Nihilo or also Kniff Art.I found that transforming some further with ai picture generator leads to some interesting surprises.Especially in the beginning phase of generating pieces with AI seeing was as if shooting with a camera motor drive;creating out of being new works as my own prompt engineer,the association was immediate in fastness from one picture to the next (2023-2025);
keeping a beginner mindset helps to remain curious enough.

Born 1959 in Germany - A sudden Kundalini (the formlessness) rise at 30,a rebirth,renaissance and individuation,end of past.In early years I was a student of and influenced by my father, a film director, screen-writer, an alchemist of his time,actor and rebel who learned in the US. Despite the pitfalls of the parents they 'managed' to raise awareness.
